The monks of The Ancient Temples established martial arts schools in order to train masters who would defend common people from creatures from the abyss and combat cultists. But the early testimonies of the ancestors were disturbed by the adherents of Martial Arts schools, who began vying with one another for dominance and glory while heedlessly disregarding the poor and defenseless. The burden of defending the common people was thus placed once more on the shoulders of monks from isolated temples.
